Art Shanty Project Lures Dr. B & The Madcap Geographers
10 Feb 2010 Author: bobwayne In: Art, Dr. B, Minnesota winterYes, this weekend saw much mayhem and debouchery at the Art Shanty Project on Medicine Lake in Minnesota as it drew the bleary eyed attentions of that infamous gang, Dr. B & The Madcap Geographers. Kind of like Sly & the Family Stone but without the ‘fros and the weird clothes or the music or…um…well, maybe that wasn’t a good comparison.

Yes, the Diva Drew (Lisa Drew) is once again enshrined in video. (She’s the one with the splash of silver in her hair.) This time performing with Consortium Carissimi in Surgamus, eamus from their Epiphany Concert 2010. Pretty cool stuff. Starts out with a nice violin duo.

…until he sobers up. We have no idea how he got away from the Yellow Menace and back home. Last we heard he was captured by the Chinese Secret Police in space and taken to a secret prison where he was tortured for information.

The Diva Drew is sick as a dog. When you’ve got a set of pipes like a classical singer has, and they get clogged up, the whole world knows it. At least the whole subconscious world inside my head knows it.
