Fractured fairy tales from a 50-something
The best little bistro in Minneapolis will shock you. It’s not some chic hot spot in downtown, it’s not the latest innovation in South Minneapolis, and it’s not an artist’s hangout in Nordeast Minneapolis. It’s…
…a tiny restaurant in North Minneapolis!
That’s right! North Minneapolis has the best bistro in the Twin Cities! And I can prove it. Just go to Sauced…uh, yeah, it’s a restaurant, not a biker bar, and order…anything.
I don’t care if it’s the Duck Breast or the Tenderloin or the burger or the Sweet Potato fries. The kid that cooks this stuff should be arrested for indecent exposure of incredible flavor.
I can’t even eat anywhere else now. All the other restaurants in town taste…pedestrian…adequate…ordinary.
As I told the owner/chef last week, his duck took me back to Paris. I got a high five for that one. And don’t tell him this restaurant is too good for North MInneapolis. He’ll bristle on that one and you’ll get a five minute lecture on the value of North Minneapolis.
But I already know that. I live five minutes from his restaurant. And now I have no reason to move anywhere else. I want instant access to Sauced.
Here are a few reviews…
The best explanation I can think of is to listen to the Bob Wayne's Weblog theme song. Yes, that's right, I have a theme song (conveniently stolen from "What Do You Want From Life" by The Tubes). Enjoy and don't forget to tell me what you really think!Official Bob Wayne's Blog Theme Song
